Corsage

A corsage is a small arrangement of flowers typically worn by the women in a wedding party or by girls attending a school dance. They can be worn in one of three different ways: pinned to the clothes, pinned to a clutch or purse, or strapped around the wrist like a bracelet.

In weddings, a corsage is usually worn by the sisters, mothers, and grandmothers. Pin corsages are most common in weddings, but wrist corsages are perfectly acceptable. A pin corsage is pinned to your clothes around the shoulder. A clutch corsage can be pinned anywhere on the clutch or purse, as long as it is visible.

For a school dance, the boy usually picks out the corsage and brings it to the girl’s house when he picks her up. Wrist corsages are most common for school dances. They tend to stay out of the way better when dancing, and they don’t cause a need to poke holes in the girl’s dress.
