Wedding Flowers

Wedding flowers are a very important part of both the ceremony and the reception. Flowers at a wedding not only add immensely to the beauty of the décor, but also are necessary for various wedding traditions. There are many different types of arrangements needed at a traditional wedding.

Bouquets are one of the most important types of wedding flower at a wedding. You need a bridal bouquet (sometimes two, if the bride wants to throw one and keep the other) and smaller bouquets for the maid of honor and the bridesmaids. You will also need boutonnieres for the groom, the groom’s father and grandfather, the ring bearer, the guestbook attendant, the groomsmen and of course the best man. Corsages are needed for the bride’s mother, groom’s mother, both grandmothers and the guestbook attendant.

Once all the appropriate flowers have been ordered to decorate the wedding party, you must decide on the decorative wedding flowers for both the ceremony and the reception. You will need flowers for the main alter and the aisle or pews at the ceremony. At the reception, centerpieces add greatly to the aesthetics of a wedding. You will need a centerpiece for the guest tables, the gift table, the buffet table, the main table, the bar, and the guestbook table.

Another wedding flower arrangement you may need is the flowers for the flower girl if you have one. She will need a basket, a flower head piece and flower pedals to toss. You can also make small, simple arrangements to give out as wedding favors.
