A wholesale florist sells large amounts of bulk flowers to professionals in the trade or retail floral shops. Retail florists are then able to arrange the bulk flowers into beautiful bouquets and arrangements, or sell individual flowers, to their customers. If you are hosting a large event, it is often more economical to work with wholesale florists instead of a local floral shop.

Aside from flowers, wholesale florists are also an excellent source for getting all types of floral supplies for a good price. They are able to offer better prices because they either have a set contract with various flower growers, or they are the growers themselves. They get them for a cheap price, so they are able to sell them for less then retail florists are able to.

Remember that although you are getting the flowers and supplies for less, the quality and service should not be anything less than satisfactory. As with all florists, research the company and make sure there is some type of satisfaction guarantee before ordering. The last thing you want is late delivery or wilted flowers.
